On set of springs and summer is awaited by many, but for some it is time to be more cautious. For those suffering with Hay fever this is the time to take extra health care. Hay fever is an allergic problem, which aggravates due to allergens such as pollen, duct, mold and mites. These allergens are present in higher quantities and flow freely during springs and summers. Keeping the house free and clean from these allergens to reduce the symptoms of the Hay fever. However even after cleaning the house and despite of keeping the windows allergens can enter the house. The most common source of these allergens is pets.

Why keep pets away

Pets are easy targets of these allergens. Pets normally roam around outdoors. Rooming outdoors they carry several allergens home. Thus those who suffer form Hay Fever problems it is very essential for them to keep away from pets especially during spring and summers. More over this more important as animal dander also is an aggravating allergen.

Care needed

If you have pets in your house make sure that you install an air filter in the house to keep away the allergens and animal dander that flow freely in the air. More importantly keep the pest out of the bedroom. Bedroom is the place where you are the most vulnerable thus if there are allergens in the bedroom the chances of hay fever symptoms are higher. Great care is needed when brushing the pets. The best approach is to brush the pets outside the home to remove the loose hair and other allergens. In fact for those who suffer form the Hay fever problems should not do this job by them selves. In case there is no one to help make sure that you cover your nose with a handkerchief or any filter. The same should be followed for cat's litter tray. On the other hand make sure that you clean or replace bedding or carpeting that is contaminated with animal dander.

For families who pets, they are the part of the family and one cannot stop loving and playing with them. However what is required is just some care for preventing Hay fever symptoms.
